Default I want to increase my remote range, so I removed the back seat and not really sure what I can do

Found a wire bunch that looked awfully thick like an antenna wire with a cap at the end, but I'm not sure. Didn't really trace the wire either, it's really cold out today. Only found my ABS and tiny alarm box under there.

Any ideas? To the CLP in the trunk then?

Default I'm pretty sure there is a tech article on increasing the remote range,

I've not tried it myself, I usually just hold it up to my head and that seems to help.

Default Except I don't have that module under there that's being talked about

So I may just have to see about this kit that's mentioned instead.

https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec78.shtml</a

Default You have the old style fob remote, I don't think any of those articles apply..

You pretty much have to be standing on the car to get those old ones to work.

Default It came with the car, I then added the switchblade

The original remote is so battered it never worked from day 1 for me.

I'm looking into this repair kit now. I'm curious.

Default i think this applies to your car.

"Later cars have the remote locking module integrated into their locking pump which resides in the foam casing in the trunk." i think Phil's sedan is a 96

Default Looks like there was a bulletin for the W VIN cars issued waaaay back in '98 about adding a braided

wire to the CLP in the trunk.

8D1-971-650-A appears to be the aerial wire you can add. Not cheap, almost $80.

That little black box is apparently for the motion system and nothing else.

Ahh my bad, I just knew there was a tech article not that it was model specific
