I was tinking about using the SPP Port and Polish manifold when I change my turbo. Since I only have a few days to have my car down for service I really dont have time to send the manifold out, so SPP currently looks like the best option.
What are some of your thoughts of doing this? Anyone currently using one of these? From what I can find 375 is the best price. Any other good options out there?

which smoothed out the interior...i think yoiu could probably do a similar job at home with a dremel and the right attachments. i also gasketmatched the manifold myself. this took about an hour to do right.
at least plan on gasket matching the manifold. my ports were horribly matched to the gaskets.

I was looking at that one to. A freind says he knows someone that knows the president of Extrudehone, I dont know if I can get any breaks yet though. I would prefer to do this but cant have my car down for a long period of time. I have been looking for another exhaust manifold to purchase but have had no luck so far.
Im not completely familiar with how a stock exhaust manifold looks. Where the flang bolts to the head and turbo. Does that portion only need gasket matched? Or currently does the flang run even with the rest of the runner also requiring some material removed? Did you notice any difference when using this?

i got it done for $250? (I think) through a gruop buy with the TT forum guys.
The interior is very smooth in some areas...areas that are restrictive to flow. other areas are not so smooth.
If i had to do it over again, I'd pre-dremel smooth the interior before sending it to extrude hone.
note that the SPP manifold is a ported manifold and the internals are widened all the way through. extrude honing doesnt remove that much material, its a smoothing process only.
I had to gasket match all the ports, especially the turbo port and cylinder 4 (i believe).
this <a href="http://www.modifieda4.com/gallery/exhaust-manifold">link</a> has some pics of the gasket matching process, after extrude honing.
