IC Service for Pre-Cats - Dealer won't return my calls :(
Hi All,
I've been tossing the standard pre-cat codes for about 20,000 miles. Knowing it was not life threatening I was not looking to do much about it until recently and I came across these posts:

"Hey great!" I thought but I can't seem to do anything but get my dealers voicemail in the service dept and they aren't returning my calls. I imagine this is not a popular item around some dealerships.
Anyone out there have the ability to check my VIN and let me know on this one? Its a long shot but darnit, I want all my service lights on my dash to finally go dark and that will help me lose the urge to buy a new car. Thats good for my pocket book and good for my Avant
Thanks

Call another dealer or leave a message that you want to make a service appointment.
Better yet, stop by.
FWIW, I had the local dealer reflash my ECU in the 2k A4 and it solved the issue. Opened a case with AoA because I felt they should cover the cost, but in the end their policy of screwing their customers won out. I paid.

Finally got a callback
$150 for the service appt. They claim that they have 2 cars in the last 2 months that have gotten the ECU fried doing this operation. Audi covers it but still, its not fun.
I was also informed that cats were covered until 80k (Just turned 90k) and since I never took it in and got this issue documented pre 80k if it is the cats I am SOL.
Well, if it is the cats I'll do it myself I think.
Hopefully this flash fixes it, I'll know on friday.
Now, time to remove my ABS computer and send it to module masters.
damn this audi loves to flash lights at me.

Yup, it was the IC Service
$255 to update the ECU. Ughh, it was robbery but its done.
Shoulda only been $155 but they tried to upsell me on other services, I declined and the price magically changed.
Thats ok, its done but now I have to replace my ECT sensor. Always something..
