Default Actually I've been working in it for some time now...I plan to release it once eveything is working

perfectly. As it turns out doing this is not as simple as you might expect. I've found that the relationship between needle deflection and input voltage is not a linear function. So your drive circuitry needs to account for this non linearity.

Anyhow...the project was shelved for a while...and still is temporarily as I'm quitting my job with Harman Multimedia to take an Engineering position with another company. As a result I need to move...so it's a scramble to get my ****ake all packed up...ect ect.

So if you're willing to wait a while, you can expect a product from me eventually. It won't be a simple FAQ...I wish it were, there will be printed circuit board with all the proper signal conditioning and linearizing components on it...ohh and of course the pressure sensor.

Regards,

James R.

Default You dog! So THAT'S what you were talking about on IRC!

I can always make a board... Are you looking to "market" it, or will you FAQ it for advanced DIY'ers?

Default yeah it would.. but when you take it in for service and they notice that your battery is kicking out

some strange number of volts, you might have a little problem on your hands.. they might begin to rip everything up, and by the time they realized what you have done it might be a little too late.. just a thought. and i might be wrong b/c they might never look at it..
John

Default Also would need to replace the amp dial to a boost dial.

I would have to beleive that eventually Audi will include a boost gauge. My cousin had one on his grand national and was great knowing when the boost was really kicking in.
