If you want strong, get forged. You can only hope for a "stronger" cast wheel by design...the wheels mentioned by wnut are forged and are quite expensive...I believe someone said ~500 a pop.

However I'm not sure you could make the statement that they are any weaker than any other <20 lb cast rim. The price you indicated pretty much dictates a cast rim. Lightweight cast rims will bend...so the more weight you shave, the more likely you'll be getting a weaker rim, imho. If you're tracking the wheels, I don't see a problem. For the street, you may have to deal with bent rims from time to time, depending on the terrain you deal with daily.
The Oettinger RE's (17's), on the other hand, are four lbs. heavier, and you'll rarely see a post about a bent one. That's also a cast rim, but that extra 4 pounds in material goes a long way, I think.
The real RS4 wheels are notoriously soft, but they don't make these for an A4 fitment, so that really has no place in this discussion.
