If engine light goes on, will it go off next startup if problem is gone?(more)
I washed my car and after the car started to misfire. I think one of the coil wires got wet, although I had covered them. The problem goes away once the car warms up, and I think it is altogether gone now but the damn light won't go off.

On some codes you have to go thru a number of cycles before the code clears.
Startup, warmup, 4000 rpm etc. I've had codes that clear immeadiately and some that have lasted a week.
