I am losing my EDL, correct? What sort of negative effects could this have having AWD on my car?

Default Brake lock up from too much pedal pressure.....

Annoying CEL on the dash. Nothing too exciting I guess.

Default Oh that's good. Am I one of the only few on this forum

who can honestly say that I don't need ABS? I would assume you learned quite a bit in cop school about braking and such, so I'm going to assume you wouldn't benfit too greatly from ABS either.

Default It's definitely an eye opener to go full tilt on the brakes w/o ABS.....

We ran some drills with it disconnected through cones at about 65mph. Wheel lock up at that speed is a bitch. Especially when you're turning. I have a great appreciation for what ABS can control. We did get pretty good at threshold braking though, just before lock up. It was fun. Not sure I'd run on the street w/o ABS though. On the track for a day would be a different story. Just make sure you don't flat spot your tires too bad.

Default Yeah, I learned that the hard way :)

I've got the heal and toe manuver pretty well learned in my Audi. Although when someone is in my car, I reconnect it so the passenger doesn't see the lights on and freak out. I need to go and practice some more soon. Haven't had to do it in awhile, and it never hurts to refresh.

Default Yeah, I did!

I replied to your paging post just 15 minutes after you emailed me. My mistake was I was not turning the wheel while I tried to reinsert the lock cable. I took apart the switch, and it is beyond rebuild as a piece of plastic broke and the spring no longer gets tension. The whole replacement with lock cable took my a grand total of 45 minutes, and I'm very pleased. One less trip to the dealer for me. Thanks again!

Default I don't, but because its tied to the ABS unit, I don't have much of a choice, do I?

What I am trying to figure out if that will be a problem with traction on my car or not.
