After you take the nuts off the endlink bolts, use a dremel tool to cut the bolts off right at the edge of the endlink. Then you can pop them out without having to move the shock or the control arm. Don't forget to buy the new endlink bolts. The redesigned links don't have integrated bolts like the ones you're taking off so you'll need new bolts to install them.
On the bright side, this won't be a problem next time since you can just slide the bolts out after you take the nut off.
Lastly, make sure you got a RIGHT and a LEFT endlink. They are different, even though they look the same at a quick glance.
