If the wrong ps fluid was put in my car could that cause the seals in my steering rack to let go?

Default So to repair it would a mechanic fix the seals or a whole new steering rack? ...
or what? How would they go about repairing it?

Normally it's the whole rack (new or rebuilt one). There's more to it than just seals
