It would require the following:
head unit

Front Components
Rear door speakers
1 amp to power said speakers

amp/sub exists already for bass, so ... don't worry about that.

Clarity is key

Default Personally, I like Boston Pros. Can't really go wrong with them.

And they don't require much space for the magnets.

Default here's my list...

Head unit: Alpine IVA-D900
Speakers: Focal Utopia
Amp: Phoenix Gold TI 500.4

It's over $1800...but that's what i'd get for sound system.

Default my thoughts

eclipse or alpine headunit = +- 500
Boston acoustic or focal components = +- 400
screw back speakers. they are over rated
JL amp/s ==+- 500
alpine, JL, eclipse, infinity sub/s with w/e left

not to sure on all the prices

Default ^^ what Mark said ^^

you will eventually want rears, to achieve a more balanced sound experience.. however, if your doing one thing at a time.. you have to get the fronts, since that's what YOU will be hearing mostly. I would get a nice head unit and amp, and possibly get a set of nice components for the fronts (focals, bostons, JL..etc.) to start.

more balanced sound? eh... no. the soundstage is on the dash, not in the back seat.
