Default Ignition control unit/module

Back-story: Drove car for a minute away from house and it just dies was not able to start it back up, cranks(no clicking) but thats as far as i got. Then I did some testing and found out power was getting to the Ignition coils but I had no spark.
Car specs: Audi 98 Q 1.8t

So decided it might be the Ignition control unit/module(still have no idea what its called)
first took it to autozone and they couldn't test and then the audi dealership and they didn't want to test it without car.

So stumbled upon this wonderful link
https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec181.shtml

Now here is my problem/confusion
I have a old school cheap tester(lost the nice one(when i need it..))
But when i follow the test through in the pics he is showing 270 ohms
where when i do the test(and it doesn't seem to matter if i connect cyl 1 with cyl 4 or 4 and 4 ) I always get a reading of better then 0 ohms( so its getting a boost...)

My conclusion is that my unit is busted and I need to replace it but before going out and spending 150$(kind of low on the $) had to make sure thats what my readings meant.
