but if I had to pick, I'd say go PPG. My OE windshield CRACKED, but the PPG windshield just has a couple of snowflakes.
But they both blow chunks out the nose.

I would email him and find out what he thinks about it in detail.
I think his email is dmak@accudraft.com. If that's not it, just do a search for his name and you can get it that way.

During a roll over the windsheild absorbs a great deal of energy...if not of the proper type...of properly installed the car could be compromised in a roll over situation.
There was some TV report about this...but it focused more on improper installation causing problems in roll over crashes.

The OEM glass meets audi standards for a windshield, be that glass clarity or structural integrity. (sigla branded?)
PPG replacement probably meets or exceeds the same standards.
whichever is cheaper is my vote.
I do NOT recommend getting a no-brand piece of glass installed by morons cuz it only cost $50.

a rock hit the OEM glass and instantly put a 5 inch crack in it.
The PPG is just as distorted as the OEM stock glass. So far, it hasn't cracked, but as I said, A4_Novice's PPG glass HAS already cracked.

Called up my dealer and asked who's their preferred glass folks. I call these guys up and guess what? Its about $100 cheaper than what the crappy insurance guys recommended!
The guy comes to my work and after 1/2 hour, its done. He's fast, efficient, and knows exactly what he's doing. Bought the dude coffee and tipped him. It was a very pleasant experience.
