Default I'm gonna miss those Xenons (long and whining)

Let the whining begin... After a fun filled weekend trip to San Diego from Phoenix, and playing with the speed governor alot my sister decided it would be fun for us to take our kids to Mc Donald's. We wouldn't all fit in the A4 so I followed her in her mini-van. Well traffic backed up, and she panic stopped right in the middle of the intersection. Of course my dumbass was paying attention to my daughter in the rearview, so.... WHAM! To make a short story less long, about $6k of damage, of course I had bought the super-expensive Xenon HIDs, and now I'm stuck with a Mercury Sable for 3 weeks. At least my daughter likes the stuffed blow-fish I bought her - oh well...

Default And I thought I was the only one...

... to have in-family accidents. I did some bumping between my then Golf and my dad's then A100... Dad thought back at that time that it was more amusing than anything else.

Glad that you are ok!

Default Why are you saying goodbye to your xenons? LLTEK supposedly had a few spare ones..

for those who damaged them in accidents. Is that untrue?
This was the main reason why I stayed away.

Default In-family accidents

When I was in high school a friend had a pretty nice family 5000TQ for his use. He didn't like driving a four dour very much and was very excited when they bought him a Nissan 4x4 truck.

One day, not long after getting the truck, he was moving the Audi out of the drive way-in reverse-at high speed (high school kid...)- right into the truck. He "front-ended" his new truck! Can't remember for sure, but both cars might have been totaled. I was there-it was ugly!
