Is it after you turn off car?
a) If hear it around the dash and A/C was on, just refrigerant being redistributed after compressor kicks off (this is more of a hiss than a gurgle). Lasts maybe 10 seconds
b) If hear it more from engine after getting out of car, is prob. coolant flowing under natural circulation. This might last 5-15 minutes.
Either is generally normal, if gauges reading OK.
If you're hearing something while driving, I'm at a loss.

I think your car's a quattro (2.8QT ?). Anyway, the gas tank is kinda an upside-down U shape and there's a pump that evens the fuel level betwen the two sides. That makes a gurgling sound but I usually hear it right after I start the car.
