Default I'm loving the block heater on the Golf. Now I'm considering it for my Audi and found the factory

one (ZVW-915-001) costs around $70. I can't find a reference to it in ETKA, so I'm curious has to how it works and where it mounts.

I assume it's a coolant heater and installs pretty easily.

Any one have any leads or should I scrap the whole idea and leave it alone?

Default If it fits in a block plug location no problem if the same size.

Inline coolant heaters work also .
OT...did you install Mitchell?

Default No, I haven't had a chance. Been pretty busy this week

Sales and repairs where I work have kept me pretty occupied.

Default Know waht you mean , I'm getting last area of my garage walls repainted

but weather turned cooler . I've got the heater in there for over a hr.,going to paint right now. Then I can have my car back in before the snow flies.

Default Very Interested also...

Up here in our neck of the woods they stopped selling them from the dealer. Something about people taking them home, not attaching them properly, it falling onto the belly pan and then an unfortunate fire. Our service techs keep saying "it does not need a block heater"!!

Default Intersting. Any car in that kind of cold needs a block heater of some sort

You can get it if you want from GVWAP.com (see sig) and $70 + shipping. I'm considering it for my car.

My thoughts also. A big battery and synthetic to get me by.

Default Might want to hunt down an oil heater too. I don't think Audi makes one, but there are

other manufactures to choose from.
