Default I've been in a built 2.0L (AEB block) w/ 2871R

it's a top-end monster... nothing down low.

honestly, the only way to get spool/power down low and the kind of peak power you want is to get into a 2.7t

*ducks*

I say this from experience. I had a K04'd PC-16 B5 A4 before the S. I was between going BT on the A4 and getting the S4.

For a daily driver, there's really no looking back. a 2.0L + 2871R as a track beast, though, would be kickass.

Default Just have to understand that all turbo setups will have a rpm range of where they build boost

and make power. The K04 dies off early because it starts making power much ealier. So going to a bigger turbo is just going to move that power band further up in the rpms while making more peak power. If you were to put a very small a/r BT on the car it would then also just die out in the higher rpms like the K04 does. Believe me you would be happy with a 2.0 liter GT28rs setup if your not happy with how the K04 dies off before 6k rpms.

The only other choice would be to do a twin scroll setup, but at "this" time no one makes a twin scroll manifold for our 1.8t, that should change this year but only for those that want to run a GT3071 or larger turbo

Default My 2.0L (1980cc) with a 2860rs hits full boost by 3k (20psi is as high as I've run it so far)......

I recently dyno'd with a cracked manifold @ 17psi and put down 255 uncorrected. Awesome on the street, quick spool, lacks up top but if you're pushing past 6.5k it wouldn't do very well.

It's an option everyone bashed me for except Javad at 034 who liked the idea and I know why It's awesome for a Mild HP/TQ DD that will be fun when needed and do alright at the track, not strip though.

2860rs

Default I don't know. Torque Factory had it for a while and that's where I got the ride.

I was contemplating buying it, but it really was too raw for a DD for me.
