Default I'm running ecs slotted rotors, mintex redbox pads all around...

They perform better than stock, definitely. But.

It seems that when my brakes get hot, they squeel when coming to a 'gentle' stop. The pedal has to be just right, not too much, not too little. Not when they're cold, but only when they're hot.

Is this because mintex redbox pads suck that bad?

I STFA and a few people complained of this.

They really that bad?

(I did the brakes myself, they were done properly.. use a torque wrench, used molylube and cleaned etc)

did you apply anti brake squeel on the outer pad? Did you eliminate any shims for the pad?

Default it doesn't really wear out. It makes the outer pad flushed and practically glued to the prongs...

helps eliminate squeek. But if it's been a long time, maybe your pads are really worn out - maybe pad material is dry, cracked or uneven.

Default RB pads are junk.

If you want low dust, they are great. Compared to OEM, they give up some bite. Get a good set of pads on there, and you'll see a huge difference when cold, and an even bigger difference when hot. Of course noise and brake dust go out the window quickly when you get good pads...

Default slotted rotors (skip next time)

unless you like the "look"

all they'll do is buzz under heavy braking

Default have i turned my rotors? thats funny.

as for your clunking noise, are your caliper carrier bolts properly torqued down and your lugs properly torqued? (and properly torqued in the right pattern)
