incorrect tire width dilemma

I got a tire replaced about 9 months ago because it was punctured. I have Continental Touring 205s (P205/55R16) and the place I took the car (Tires Plus) put on a 215 (P215/65R16).
I didn't noticed this until I went to get the tires rotated and aligned (at a different shop) and they pointed out the problem, and told me I needed two new tires (including the incorrect tire) because they had worn badly as a result of the wider tire.
I went back to Tires Plus and of course they tell me that's all crap, and all they will do is discount a new tire purchase based on the wear on the incorrect tire. I said "OK, but give me an alignment too so I can see that everything's OK just putting the correct (205) tire in place of the 215..." No, they won't do that because incorrectly sized tires don't affect the alignment.
What's the deal?

2 new tires. Or, replace all 4, get an alignment and start rotating them more often. Keep the 2 good ones for spares.
Go up the chain at Tire Plus until someone refunds the money.

Check your receipt.. if you paid for the appropriate tire (P205/55R16) then you didn't receive what you paid for.
If they give you a problem, call Visa/MC and tell them you didn't receive what you paid for.
Don't pay for their mistake.
