Default Installing APR boost gauge today, have some Q's...

How do you run power to the guage? What clamps should I get from home depot? BTW I bought the guage used so there are no clamps. TIA

Did my gauge (a-pillar) this weekend, using the APR instructions as a guide. I got power from the vent light wiring on the driver's side, but there may be a place better suited for your installation. Just trace the wires from the vent. Black is ground, red is current. Splice taps were perfect for the job. As for the clamps, I used zip ties and they work just as well. You can get the zip ties and the splice taps at Home Depot in the electrical section.

Default Slice into the vent light wires on the left side.

You'll need some wire that's about the same gauge (too big will make the gauge too dim - don't ask how I know that). Sorry but I don't remember what gauge you'll need, it's pretty small though. I spliced the two vent light wires coming out of the left vent wall. There's not much extra wire so from the splice I ran 4 new, longer wires. One set runs back to the vent gauge and the other set runs to the boost guage. I soldered female end clips to the end of each to mate with the male tangs on the light and gauge. That's about it. The vent lights work normally, and the gauge just lights up with those. Nice and bright and easy to see. Don't forget to slip the red cover over the LED for the gauge.
