Installing Power Seats into a Manual Setup

I've done it before
you just have to punch 2 holes in your carpet and add 2 rivnuts per seat.
you can leave the center rail guide on the chassis if you want. but it does restrict seat movement with power bases.

Well, I did this in my Passat wagon by adding Audi S4 power seats. As has already been brought up the front seat mounts are different. The power seats use a mount point on each front corner rather than the central mount on the manual seats. I also noticed that the wiring harness had a power wire in it but no power to it. I had to run a custom power wire from the fuse box over to the relay box on the passenger footwell where the seat harness connects to the relay. The rear tracks were the same however and I did not have clearance issues with leaving the center mount in the car from the manual seats although this may be different in the A4. David
