Default Instrument cluster code 01316 ABS Control Module: No Signal/Communication. Helpz!

Hey guys, I need a little help on this one... I changed my instrument cluster with a new/used one and had to do a whole bunch of adaptations. Cluster works fine now but I am having one problem and it is starting to **** me off now. This is the ONLY code on my car now and it won't go away! If I had a **** ton of codes, it wouldn't bother me, but now that it is just one.... Yeah, you know...

When I scan the instrument cluster I get this code...
01316 - ABS Control Module: No Signal/Communication

I install the old cluster and don't get this code... However, if you log block 125 I think, it should tell you what you need for the adaptation channel 60... Well, the old cluster only was coded for the engine to show up in the powertrain CAN bus... It didn't have the ABS coded into it...

When I try to do the adaptation for it and get rid of the ABS portion of the adaptation, it won't take... Any help or did I loose everyone? Read "Instrument cluster OBD for MY 2000+" in the Bentley....

Thanks guys!

Default Have you plugged the old cluster in and written down the coding for it?

Then put the new one in and set the same coding?

Default Well thing is....

For channel 60 all it says to do is look at measuring block 125. 125 says which parts play a roll in the Powertrain CANBUS... On the OLD cluster it says only the ECU plays a part. The new cluster says that the the ECU AND ABS play a part but in the new cluster it has "ENGINE 1" and "ABS 0." So the new cluster is CODED to see the ABS but the ABS isn't showing up... I did the adaptation of CH 60 accordingly and the ABS STILL shows up... Adaptation of Ch 60 should just be an input of 00001... I put that in and I still get the ABS code... When I do the adaptation of the ECU ONLY, the ABS should go away right?

Default Most modules have "base coding", don't see why cluster should be any different...

Maybe someone who has coded a cluster before can chime in.

Default

Yes, the base coding is correct, but there are a ton of other things to do when changing clusters...
