Default Interchangeable Seats

I have a 97 A4 a.8T and want to changeout the front and rear seats. I've heard several different things regarding what year seats will interchange-is there somewhere I can get a definitive answer?
Also - my seats are manual with heat wiring. Can I use power seats and add power using the wiring in place?

Default iirc the power seat don't mount the same as manual seats....

newer seats may contain airbags. you'll need to run wires for power seats.

Default yeah, step 1 is to tell people what seats you have how

and step 2 is tell people what seats you want to put in.

I thought I did mention they were heated manual seats (cream vinyl). The reason I'm asking is I want to replace the two front and back with leather. I have been told that I can use seats from 97-99 but wanted to find out if this is correct or if it's possible to go to 2000-2001 for the front buckets. I would prefer not to have to do wiring but if I find nice power leather(which seem to be more available) I would go ahead and do it.

Anyone know what years(and models, i.e. A6)would be interchangeable?
