Yes, that is what I am referring to. It is so common on the Asian rally cars like the SVX and Evo that the prep companies sell kits for them.
From what I read the most common implementation among DIY types is to reuse the windshield washer system since most of the infrastructure is already in place, then route a new hose from pump outlet to a spray head mounted in front of the intercooler, add new manual switch or automated control to activate the pump - without running the wipers too.
