Came to work to find this in the little news section on compuserve's main page:
Angel Pabon was 54 years old. The Puerto Rico native was married with two children. He worked on the 104th floor of the north tower of the World Trade Center and had worked his way up the management chain from a low-level job to management director of international equity for Cantor Fitzgerald. He died on that awful day. Pabon, like everyone else at Cantor Fitzgerald never stood a chance since the hijacked plane slammed into the tower beneath him. There was no escape. Now as workers have dug and dug and dug into the rubble that was once the World Trade Center, they have gotten to the underground garage. And Angel Papon's automobile--a gray 2001 Audi Quattro. It's covered in ash, but it's intact.
When Angel's wife, Yvette Pabon, saw the photo on the cover of the New York Post earlier this week, she said, "It was an absolute shock. I was just stunned," Yvette told The Post. The couple drove the Audi to their weekend home in Pennsylvania so seeing the picture brought back a flood of memories. "Even though it upset me a lot, I feel very good in seeing it. It was part of my husband," she said. The sight of the car made her cry. Papon had two cars in the WTC garage that day. His white 2000 Mercedes-Benz was found in October with just a few scratches and a smashed rear window. "It was in excellent condition, too, but we gave it up. They took it to the landfill on Staten Island," Yvette told the Post. "He just loved the Benz, but Angel never forgot where he came from." As hard as it's been, Yvette said the sight of the car was strangely comforting.

Call me a cynic! But I can't tell if that's an A6 Avant or if it's a 2002 A4 Avant. I'm a bit skeptical I guess...
