Hello,
I just purchased my first car. I did the research and was really interested in an Audi A4 1.8 T AWD. The VIN on the car I purchased is the A4 1.8 T AWD, but after just looking over my car again I can't believe I did not notice this but it's an A4 2.8L V6 AWD. Does anyone know how to get this corrected? Also, will it affect my loan and insurance?

Is this a 1.8T with a 2.8 installed or is the vehicle a 2.8? Powered drivers seat, wood trim , leather only came on the V6. Chrome trim around the windows also.
If the VIN doesn't match the car, you could have a ringer . A stolen car with a VIN plate from a wrecked car. Your local state agency should be able to figure it out.In my state when a car is moved and registered in another state the state patrol checks it.

I'm not positive what engine it was. Carfax and Autocheck both said it was an A4 1.8T. I definitely did poor research on that one. I ended up returning it, I got an oil change at the Audi Dealership here and they serviced the car I had purchased and it had 99,xxx miles and I bought it with 77xxx miles. The dealership I purchased the car from showed me a completely different Carfax then what the Audi Dealership provided me after the purchase. What a nightmare! I'm just glad everything got taken care of. I just don't have a car now haha.
