Default IPOD Adapter

Can anyone recommend a good IPOD adapter for my 1998 a4 quattro with bose. I would like one that plugs directly into the CD changer harness in the back and that will play through the factory bose headunit. I looked at the dension one, but its is very expensive ($200+ on ebay) and I want a lower costing one. Thanks!

Default Two questions...

1) Do you have a CD changer in the trunk?

2) If so, do you still want to be able to listen to CDs?

Default Concert has volume control dead center. Delta is towards the left.

This is where I ordered mine from. AutoToys is cheaper but they get you on the shipping.<ul><li><a href="http://enfigcarstereo.com/shopsite_sc/store/html/AUDI_MLINK1_V1B.html">Blitzsafe</a></li></ul>

Default Ok, here's a really cheap way to do it

Pull out the head unit and locate the wiring harness that goes to the changer. There are two audio wires that run from the changer to the head unit (red for the right channel, white for the left channel).

You can cut those wires and connect the head unit straight to your iPOD (either via the headphone jack or the dock connector). You won't be able to listen to CDs anymore of course, and you'll need to leave a single CD in the changer to fool the head unit, but you'll have excellent sound quality while spending next to nothing.

What I did was a bit more elaborate (see link), but it's the same basic idea.<ul><li><a href="https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec142.shtml">https://www.audiworld.com/tech/elec142.shtml</a</li></ul>
