Wow, okay don't believe me, but I'm dead serious. This car was special order. I'm referring to it as an S-Line because that's what they call this package nowadays, of course they didn't refer to it as an S-Line in 1998 but it is the same thing. I'm not trying to start up anything, I'm not going to go through the trouble to go outside and take a picture of a piece of paper that is from 1998 and kept in a plastic bag in the bottom of my glove compartment just to prove that I am right but there's a pic of the car on my account. It was over 40K new, Sorry for upsetting you.

BTW, what year is your Audi? I am looking for a passenger side full sized mirror that will fit a '98 and I noticed your Audi has one. Yours does look like a 2000 or newer though. Just a question, I hate the short housing mirror.

Yeah, don't let them get to you. Simple mistake, basically same idea though, just different name
depending on model year.
To answer your question, go with Dension or other similar interface. I have mine mounted next to my head unit in the car, and it is in a good spot for me to safely reach and see.
