Thought you guys up north might have a trick or two...

And no, I have no access to warm water when I wash my car.

And yes, I will use McQuire quick detail/wax if I HAVE to... don't really trust anything that does not require me to get all the dirt off first.

Thanks, my car would sure appreciate it... the girls are not checking it out anymore... it is mad

Default I'd wait until it's at least 32F outside and then wash it. I would not use quick detailer on a...

dirty car - you'll scratch the **** out of it if you do. If it's too cold, just don't wash it at all. That's still less damage than your other idea.

Oh, and it's spelled Meguiar's. ;-)

Default You could always just go to a "hand sprayer" do it yourself place....

....just to get most of the dirt and grime off. Plus, just sneak in a bucket and your own soap and sponge/wash mit and you are in business. Take a buddy and you'll be done in 15 minutes.

The one that I use always has warm water pumping out. Just be sure not to get too close to the paint with the high pressure nozzle, and for pete's sake (not that I know or care about pete) don't use the brush they have there on the paint (however, I have used it on my tires and wheels)
