Default I've been hearing a really high pitched squeak coming from the left side of the car

when driving. I think it may be related to the brakes. Here are some more details to help you guys.

The sound increases with speed. So at first it is a slow squeak . . . squeak . . . squeak and as I go faster the frequency of the squeak increases.

The soudn always goes away when I hit the brakes, although sometimes I do get brake squeal (which I take to be normal).

Lately, I have been able to produce the sound when turning left. If I am going straight and suddenly tung the wheel left, I will hear the squeak. I guess maybe it is more of a chirp than a squeak.

I know this isn't a great despcription, but it's the best I can do.

Any ideas?

Default If it goes away the instant you touch the brakes, it's probably just pad squeal..

The pads are vibrating in their carriers, and by applying pressure, they stop (or change frequency, which is when you get more squeal)

You could put som anti sieze compound on the pad carriers, which usually makes it go away.

Default I'm getting the same exact thing. Only when I turn slightly left.

I am also getting lots of brake squeel recently. Is there anything that can be done about the brake squeeling? It is really loud and annoying.
