Default I've got a little over 5000 miles on my....

99.5tqms and I love it! But everytime I see or read about the TT I just drool. To think I could have had a TT for only about 5000 dollars more almost makes me sick. I only owe 7000 dollars on my car but I cant help but to think about trading it in for a TT. However, I plan to pay off this car and keep it for a long time. Maybe I'll get my wife a TT next summer... Well, I'll let her have the A4 =). I saw the TT in the showroom when I bought my A4 and loved it. I never bothered to look at the sticker because I assumed it was a 40K car. I didnt want to spend that much. I should have payed more attention.

Anyway, I just wanted to share that I think the TT is **** hot.

Default The TT is a neat car but

it's far from practical. Definitely not a good choice as a primary vehicle. Personally, it's not even my cup of tea as a sports car because it's FWD, gotta spring for the 225hp engine to get Quattro I believe. Just my thoughts, but I agree it's a stunning car.

Rodney

Default D*mn! Now I'm really p*ssed I missed it.

I wasn't aware the TTQ was available in 180hp trim. Cool. How did they do? Was the one that tipped a Q or FWD? How was the event, I had to forgo it because the Marine Corps just couldn't seem to grasp the importance of my furthering my driving skills. Oh, well, just have to make sure I make the next one.

Regards,
Rodney

Default No doubt, I'd have to get Quattro...

or whatever its called on the TT. But I'm certain you can get it in the 180HP variety. If not.... Oh darn, I gotta get 225HP =)

Default My opinion about the TT...

Lets face it: The TT is not a grown up car in the way the A4 is. It shares its platform, drivetrain and engines with the A3, golf, skoda, jetta, beetle platform. The looks are really great but as we see with the medifications that are happening to it, the car is not! I much rather had liked a coupe based on the A4, Passat platform, since it seems the more sophisticated one. Don't get me wrong, I still believe the TT is a very bitchin' looking car BUT the emphasis is on looking.

for driving, I prefer my A4 1.8TQMS. The price is about the same but I have the feeling I got way more car than a TT buyer. I agree that I got less looks.
