I've got a story to tell. (long.)

Mine gives me problems, but NEVER has it left me stranded....
No, it wouldn't be any better without roadside assistance, which I also have.
I've also had a Honda Prelude....and a *smirk* Chevy Cavalier, that never broke down....so theres 3 to answer your question.

I'm sorry, but I think you need to be realistic.
These things *can* happen, with ANY car! It's a machine, and even the best quality control will allow for some faults to be introduced into the car you bought. To say it's untolerable for any reason is completely unrealistic.

You can get it on your Credit card sometimes...check into that
My insurance also offers it...so I kinda have it twice
I wouldn't go without....RKA makes the right point...even though we expect the best...they all break down sometimes....I've just been lucky.

I tried that with one of *my* customers once...never again!
None of my senior management were around to talk to their senior management...so there I was, trying to tell them that 99% data accuracy far exceeded *my* expectations...
*gulp* :-/
Those were the last words I spoke for a week...but I learned something...people "can't handle the truth". Just tell them what they want to hear...the truth doesn't make a damn bit of difference!

Well, if they have money to burn...the law of dimishing returns sets in.
Same holds true for cars...quality control costs money, but it's only financially prudent to take it to a certain level. Beyond that, we as consumers have to expect that we may have to deal with some imperfections, in exchange for a car that costs $27K not $54K. That's what warranties are for.
(sorry, had to bring the discussion back on track! :-))
