I've heard conflicting - please settle this. Which exhaust is louder, APR or Milltek?

not doubting you at all (I have no idea which is louder), it's just clearly an issue of debate and disagreement, so how do you know which is louder?

on my A4 1.8T quattro, and its fairly quiet, at idle you get low grumble. But when you hit the pedal, you get a nice deep tone. Sounds great! No regrets here! ; )

at one point his tailpipes were right at my passenger side window when he was shifting at high revs and it was LOUD, i can't imagine my milltek being that loud at high rpms, although it does get a good bite up past 5k rpm.
Why do you care so much about noise anyway? They're almost the same. How's this, the head audi mechanic at the local dealership (when i took him for a ride to fix a squeak) said "that exhaust is the nicest sounding exhaust you can get for these cars".
How's that?

drony. The Milltek is akin to a stock exhaust sound but a tad deeper. Whereas the APR has more of a presence at idle and when on throttle.
It's really hard to explain unless you've heard both. But, by far, the APR and Milltek are the quietest of the exhaust systems out. But compare the two side by side and the APR is "louder" but not an annoying loud.
