Default There are plenty of people running the PES kit with a stock cat.

PES even ran one on a 2001 with the stock exhaust. The Apr kit cant be used with the stock cat period. Oh and yes dealers will work on cars that have a larger turbo. But your not always going to pass the smog check with a non stock cat.

Default Uhh, that's 25% off

Since you don't seem to think it's a big deal, why don't you send me 25% of your salary.

Didn't think so.

Default No, just an explanation of why I think the APR kit is a better value.

It's as valid an analogy as Ryan's NASA one.

APR cats pass smog checks, even in Cali. So what's your point?

The site lists both, so I guess it's easy to confuse it as a sale price.

Default With the price reduction, the kits are equal in value IMHO...

The discount in price reflects the lack of a hi-flow cat on the PES kit (granted the price drop recently took place).

Both kits use a Garrett family turbocharger, correct? One uses a GT-25BB, one a T-28. One should, absent variables, flow better low, and one will flow better high.

The SIII is complete system. PES allows you to opt out of the cat for a lower buy-in price.

Seems pretty fair to me. Granted the APR manifold is inconel...and that biggie there is the lifetime warranty...but ive yet to hear anyone say the high-nickel content PES kit's manfold isn't a quality item.
