so the consensus is you can't lift from the front only one side at a time?

Default Correct

To jack up the front you have to do each side separate.

You can lift the back as a whole by jacking it up on the rear diff (not sure if that's recommended, though) but I don't know of any way to do that for the front.

I used to jack my car up on the 2 metal plates that connect the subframe to the body but can't do that anymore since I installed a DTS. Another place I'd jack it up was on the front sway bar clamps. (learned that from Joey T years ago)

Default I use a piece of wood behind the weld too

but be careful not to squash a couple of pipes that are on the right side of the car. A 2x2 can just fit in between the welded flange and the pipes. In fact it fits pretty tight. I used it last night when changing control arms and was handed it back when I went to get alignment done today!

Default unfortunately, hockey pucks aren't tall enough...

so, they still crease the pinch weld.<ul><li><a href="http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=2061&amp;itemType=PRODUCT&am p;iProductID=2061">eventually, I'll get one of these from Eastwood.</a></li></ul>
