Jack stand placement?

Default I doubt it....not much room there.

Usually, service shops will just swing the arms right under the pinch welds....which is not as bad since the weight of the car is distributed on 4 pinch welds.

Yes. I understand. A4sp asked about placement of JackSTANDS, not a jack.

the jack not the jack stands...

Default In Andy's pics, the little area more or less between the jack and the stand is ...

the lifting point on the front, the place where he has the stand is the lifting point in the rear.

Default They were jack stands

The aluminum adapter fit in the base (you have to remove 'T' bar and replace it with the block).

Default That's a cool idea. So it does away with the ratchet then?

Or did he cut grooves in the inserted portion?

Default No he did away with the ratchet.

He machined the height so the wheel would be off the ground by about an in.
