is made in Mexico and quality is questionable. parts and materials are weak, and paint finish sucks. Mexico plant has a hard time getting the paint finish right, because the puabla plant is 6000ft obove sea level and its hard to get paint to lay right....
I have read this and had VW reps told me this.

I would go with Audi A4 1.8T Q, reason better package, at least you getting standard indash cd, which in case of passat, you only have cassette and you have to pay extra $$$ to install Indash CD, you don't have 4motion unless you go with GLX v6, some other couple things, both audi and new passat look good, the best way for you is to drive both of them, and see which one you like the most...
