JHM linkage and shifter stabilizer upgrade installed ...
..Impressions:
-great, precise shifter feel
-my crappy 1-2 shift pain reduced alot
-smooth, smooth, smooth
-after all those miles I had no idea our cars can be so easy to shift
Cons:
-so far (+/- 50 miles) none
Final comment: for the "small" price (I paid 120$) it's a dramatic improvement. Highly recommended.

http://shop.jhmotorsports.com/category.sc?categoryId=21</a

questions......
So you were having trouble getting into first and second gears, especially when cold, and this helped?
Do you think it was mainly the shifter, or maybe syncros?
How much of a difference did it make? 90% as good as new? 50%?

1st of all I never grind on any gear. It was more like crunch, shifting from 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 2nd and very "unsmooth".However it didn't really matter what temps are outside (maybe little worse in the winter. I've also had problems putting 1st gear only when cold (that's gone). 1-2, 3-2 improved by I'd say 60-70%.
Before that (20-30K ago) I've put a short shifter (not JHM) and that was nice mod (short shifting is much more fun than stock), but only JHM stuff put big smile on my face. No more slop, very good precision.
Keep in mind that we're not talking about buying clutch or turbo. It's a 100$ value and for me very well spent. Hope this helps.
