My brakes just hadn't been grabbing very well, so I decided to see if the pads were glazed. I pulled the front calipers and sure enough, each pad looked like glass. I took some sand paper to them and got rid of the shine. Now they stop great! I'll probably pull the rear pads this week and do the same. BTW - I installed Rofren pads at 10k miles and new (drilled) rotors at 27k miles (I have 31k miles now). I guess I should have roughed the pads up during the rotor install or at least after I bedded the pads to the new rotors.
I wonder if this will help the wet braking problem as well...time (and rain) will tell.<p><a href="http://www.users.uswest.net/~craiger/a4main.htm">
