WOW, I haven't even broken the tires in yet, and they're already infinitely better than my old setup of the Momo Racer + Nitto 450. The steering feels lighter because I've shaved about ~13 lbs per corner because both the new wheel and the new tire are lighter than the original two. Pics to follow, but the package I got was 17 X 8 RC's w/ 225 45 17 Pilot Sports.
I have finally realized that I shouldn't cheap out on tires. A $80/ tire difference is HUMONGOUS!
Granted I know BBS may be a little leniant on their published weighted numbers (maybe they so happened to pick a wheel that was lighter by the mean weight by 2 standard deviations), the RC's are significantly lighter than the Momo Racers.

Price breakdown...
I bought the 4 Pilot Sports on Ebay for $500 + shipping, which was about $80.
I bought the 4 wheels for $1600 new from a local shop.
Once the tires arrived today via UPS, I went to get them mounted and balanced (and I got an oil change while they were at it) for a total of roughly $100.
In total, I spent $2300 on this setup, and I'm quite pleased with it. I'll probably never hit the tracks, but I'm definitely more confident now to take a hard turn at any given (of course safe) corner. =)
