Just got some interesting information about my ecu...
I recently got the autothority .8 bar chip with ecu and I am going to swap it soon. It was used in a 98 with manual tranny and now I am putting it in my 97 with auto. Until now I was planning on using a vag tool to set it for auto rather than manual but ive been told by autothority that only 2000 and up need specific auto or manual programming. Have any of you heard of this? Sounds like I should be good to go without any reprogramming
