Boot is about $20...that means they are quoting you 1.5 hours labor to replace it? The labor alone sounds too low...additionally, it's usually a good idea to just replace the joint...if ANY dirt has worked it's way into that tear in the boot (usually does), that joint will go bad in a short span of time, and you'll have to pay someone to open everything up again to replace the joint.
Ask them for quote to replace the boot and the joint.

I would guess $300 or so.
Someone mentioned raxle.com might sell cv joints, so you could call and get a price quote on that. Figure 2.0-2.5 hours labor, and $20 for the boot.
