Just an idea - temporary blacked out grill?

I don't even have my Avant yet, but I plan on either a Kamei grill.
Some people have said the blackout looks weird on light colored cars.
Could you carefully place electrical tape over the chrome for a temporary blackout or just to see if it looks good?
Just a thought.
Tom Van Ness

ON my 98.5 I did this about a year ago for a couple of months, really liked the look of it. It was hard to get it on, but you have to stretch it out tight around the grill and it will stay....until the first hard rain, then mine started coming off.
Now that I have a '00, the new grills are more complex and the tape wouldn't work. So I am thinking about painting....
Christian J. Long
