The pedal has (in simple terms) a spring loaded position sensor. the position of the pedal vs the position of the solenoid gets out of wack, since it's not mechanically connected, only by signal. Throttle body alignment lets the car resynchonize the positions with each other. Otherwise the pedal may be to the metal, but the solenoid thinks it's at half throttle.<p>

Hi there,
mine is a 2000 A4 1.8T, after removing the weatherstripping and plastic cover, I can reach the 4 bolt, but the hidden fifth one is just underneath the black plastic lower windshied trim, I can't see and possibility to unscrew it without removing the black plastic lower windshied trim.
The question is, do I have to remove this black plastic lower windshied trim?
If yes, how do I do it.
