I have @62k miles 2001 A4 1.8TQMS
I had been having pretty bad vibrations at idle transmitted to my steering wheel. I had re-centered my snub mount a few weeks ago, no major change.
I finally got around to installing my new transmission mounts. RS4 mount on passenger side, and Urethane filled stock mount on drivers side.
After the install, I recentered my snub again.
Vibration at idle is now Zero...Zippo...Zilch. In the past, on a scale of 1-10, the steering wheel vibration at idle was a 7. Now it is a 1. It is like butter now.
Less jerkiness when launching and smoother shifts.
I was amazed at the positive difference this made. My old mounts did not have any visible cracks or problems.
See my writeup in the Tech section under the Engine section on how to fill the stock drivers mount with Urethane.
