Just ordered the Scosche Car Stereo kit + the Wiring harness. Let's hope the H.U. install is easy.

LoL, yeah I thought I'd throw it out there for a response first.
The Scosche kit fits fine, but for function it's terrible....what exactly are you wiring up? If it's just subs...you're better off running into Circuit City and picking up the other kit that they have. I forgot the name. I ran it when I had my subs in off the Bose head unit and they sounded sick. PITA to install.....Not worth paying someone else to do. Make sure you have the right wiring diagram...Where are you located?

IMO the Mobile ES is a good step above the normal Sony line...
I have the CDX-M650 and I love it! It matches my all red interior nicely. I also dig the blue LCD which gives a nice contrast at night. The sound is very clean even at higher volumes. I think my pre-amp out is at 4.5V or 5V. I 'm running the pre-outs to a PPI amp which also amplifies cleanly. I think you'll like the head-unit, aesthetically and acoustically.
