Had to jump start my car at work and thought I had left my lights on. Was running out of time so the only place open closeby was PepBoys, and picked up a Bosch battery. I STFA, and came across a post that RKA (Raj) had posted regarding a bracket for the newer A4s & S4s *link below*.

The question I have is, will this bracket work on a Bosch battery or just one from Autozone? The battery I got is several inches shorter than the stock one (on either side)....so i guess there's potential for it to slide around. Right now its pretty wedged in there (front to back). Measure the gap from the stock clamp to the side of the new battery .Go to hardware store(big box chain store) and buy a piece of steel or aluminum about as wide and thick as the factory clamp ,cut new clamp to new length needed (use addition ,old length plus gap size) drill hole for bolt at same distance from the rh end. Bend ends of clamp down at bolt end and up at wedge/battery end using a bench vise to make new clamp resemble original style. Paint to your preference. It works ,your battery is secure.If you don't do it the vibration and sliding does cause internal plate damage and shortens the battery life.
