Just saw an '02 Avant at the dealer tonight.....
Man what a gorgous car...the avant looks so much better than the sedan...the lines of the car look very nice and smooth....it was either dolphin grey or atlas grey maybe??? Still hate the unpainted lowers but it does look very nice

i agree..seems they designed the 02's on the Avant platform, and then made a sedan out of it..
like the car was meant ot be an avant and the designers said "Hmm, we could chop of the back and make this a sedan"
I was hoping for more looks wise for the sedan...anticipating S4 coupe...

Really? I wasn't too impressed...what did it for me was seeing the p-shopped
"S4 Avant" that someone posted here last week...wider fenders, 18" wheels, painted lowers, and a slightly larger rear deck wing. Mmmmmmmm!

Oddly enough, I kept telling myself that my next car would be an '02+ Avant...
but having seen the Avant and Sedan side-by-side at the dealership, I have to give the nod to the Sedan. I LOVE the lines of the new sedan. I must be one of the few.
Maybe if I saw the Avant in a couple of different colors my mind would change. But now I'm not so sure.
