Asked him the ACTUAL performance gains that I could expect from a bored throttle body and K&N Cone Intake system for my 12 Valve.

He said the ACTUAL horsepower gains would be between 5-7. Add the ported intake manifold, and you're seeing 10 hp and 10 lb/ft.

Now, he said that would be the ACTUAL gains...and I know, I know...salesmen... But I made it clear that I was interested in the real life info...not some optimistic ridiculous number. That's about it...just passin' on some info to all you 12 Valvers. Oh, they port YOUR throttle body, so it's a 2 day turnaround from the time they get yours, to the time they mail it back.

I think I'm gonna bite the bullet and go for all three, or maybe just the intake and throttle body...problem is, I don't have much extra mod-money layin' around right now, but as soon as I save it up.........

I hear someone's developing a *clears throat* 12 Valve supercharger system.

The name PES comes to mind...




I was speaking to a guy i know who is in the process of starting a company called DPM Tuning. He's got an account with PES, and he loves the 12 Valve engine (moreso than the 30V). Anyway, he claims that PES is working on a supercharger for our engines....one that will actually WORK! Imagine that!

then it's 10HP. Or maybe even 12HP. But he doesn't pull numbers out of the air. That's why I feel so comfortable doing business with him. I know that I'm not getting the run-around.

And let us know how it goes! I think there are a lot of people who would like to hear your impressions of how you feel those mods affect the performance.
