Just wanted to share my experience with V1's customer service...

My V1 is 3 years old, well out of the 1 year warranty. My detector was displaying an "E" (I assume for "Error") in the middle of the startup sequence, so I emailed them to see what they'd tell me to do to troubleshoot. I get a reply the next day simply telling me to send it back, never asking me for a "repair fee" and even apologizing for the inconvenience. Nine days after I shipped it out, I receive my repaired unit in normal working order and even with new windshield suction cups and velcro for the concealed display. I guess what they did should be expected after paying $400+ for a radar detector, but they were in no way obligated to do anything for free. Another reason why V1 gets two thumbs up in my book.
