K&N air filter, can you tell a diff?

with just a stock 1.8T, will there be a noticeable difference in HP/TrQ. What are the #'s for the gains normally achieved. thank you for your info.

The best measureable gain would be to throttle response and a less restrictive intake. Sans the K&N it felt like my car had been smoking phillies and trying to gasp for air.
After K&N unit the throttle response is more pronousced, every little blip or movement produces a greater reaction from the engine. The engine sounds deeper at 3,500+. And gas usage has been increased =..(

noticed the same differences. No too pronounced, but the K&N filter is worth the small amount of money that it costs.

a modern motorcycle engine. A restriction at either end will let itself be known. As far as cars go... they are not tuned as highly in stock form, are more concerned with the production of torque, not just peak hp, so you won't see gains like you would in a higher strung motor.
